At Andalusia Islamic School, we provide a rigorous academic program aligned with New York State standards while nurturing Islamic values, discipline, and strong character. Students are encouraged to think critically, communicate clearly, and strive for excellence in both their academic and personal growth.
Through our partnership with Monroe University, eligible high school students may earn dual college credits, experience college-level coursework, and gain a valuable head start on their academic journey.
Our curriculum helps students grow academically, spiritually, socially, and creatively. Through strong core instruction, Islamic studies, enrichment opportunities, and hands-on learning, students build the knowledge, confidence, and character needed for future success.
Andalusia Islamic School uses regular assessments to monitor student progress, guide instruction, and support academic growth. Students complete classroom assessments, midterms, and final exams throughout the year. Students also participate in standardized assessments, including New York State Common Core exams and New York State Regents exams, where applicable, to measure progress and ensure readiness for the next level.
Students take part in research projects, lab experiments, presentations, competitions, and schoolwide academic events that build critical thinking, confidence, creativity, and public speaking skills.

We are excited to partner with Gewida Academy to enhance our Arabic and Quran program through year-round staff development, curriculum support, and instructional improvements. We recognize that students come from diverse educational backgrounds, and some may need additional support in Quran reading. To help bridge these gaps, Andalusia sponsors free online Quran classes for students who would benefit from extra assistance outside of school. We also encourage other students to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to strengthen their Quran skills through a discounted monthly fee.
Please see the flyer for additional details and registration information.

Our spelling bees build vocabulary, confidence, and presentation skills while encouraging excellence in both English and Arabic.
Hands-on STEM opportunities allow students to explore innovation, collaboration, problem-solving, and research-based learning.
Students are encouraged to strengthen their memorization, recitation, and love for the Qur’an through friendly competition and spiritual growth.

We honor student milestones, academic achievement, character, leadership, and personal growth throughout the year.
