GradeLink Student Information System

GradeLink can be accessed through any web browser or by downloading the GradeLink app on your mobile device for convenient access on the go. Parents and students can access attendance records, grades, report cards, transcripts, discipline records, counseling information, and other important school communications through the portal.

School Hours

Daily Start Time

All students report to the gymnasium no later than 8:10 AM. Students are marked late after 8:16 AM.

Monday – Thursday

School day ends at 2:50 PM. Students must be picked up by 3:05 PM.

Fridays

School day ends at 2:15 PM. Students must be picked up by 2:25 PM.

Drop-Off

Please do not drop children off before 7:45 AM. Drop off on the sidewalk in front of the school entrance. Please avoid double parking.

Early Pick-Up

If picking up your child early, you must notify the school office at least 30 minutes in advance. You can not pick up children 30 minutes before dismissal. Students are not permitted to remain on school premises after the school day ends unless officially enrolled in an after-school program.

School Uniform

All students are required to follow the school’s dress code at all times. On the third dress code violation, parents will be contacted and the student may be sent home. Andalusia’s uniform provider is Verona Uniforms. Please use the grade-specific links below to order uniforms.

Key Reminders from the Handbook

Attendance & Lateness

Students must attend school every day. Three instances of lateness equals one absence. By law, the school must contact ACS when a student has 25 or more absences in a school year.

Cell Phones & Devices

Students are not permitted to carry cell phones during the school day. Phones are collected at the start of 1st period and returned at dismissal. All students have school-issued Chromebooks for technology-driven instruction.

Visiting the School

All visitors must check in at the School Office first. Parents should not go directly to classrooms. To speak with a teacher, call the office to schedule an appointment — teachers are not available for conferences at dismissal time.

Free Breakfast & Lunch for All Students

Andalusia Islamic School participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Through this program, all enrolled students receive healthy, fresh, and halal breakfast and lunch meals at no cost to their families, regardless of household income. For more information, please review our School Meals Public Announcement. Parents are required to complete the lunch form annually.

Free & Paid School Bussing

PreK–8th grade students residing at least 1.5 miles from Andalusia Islamic School may qualify for free transportation through the Yonkers Public Schools District. Families who move into the district may submit transportation applications upon establishing residency, while current residents should submit requests by April 1 for transportation in the following school year.

Families residing in non-city school districts throughout Westchester County may also be eligible for free transportation to Andalusia Islamic School under New York State law. Eligibility requirements, distance limits, and application procedures vary by district. Please visit your local school district’s website for details.

For families in the Bronx, Andalusia also offers a paid bus service from Bronx Muslim Center (BMC). The cost is $100 per month. For more information or to register, please school admin at andalusiaoffice@masuny.org.
